  • Payment Schedule

    For all hikes a $250 HKD per person deposit is required to secure your place. Final acceptance of any participant is subject to receipt and review of all required forms, documents, and payment. For bespoke hikes and corporate events please refer to your quotation for payment schedule.

    Trip Itineraries

    All Hong Kong Hikers Ltd hikes are subject to itinerary changes based on a variety of circumstances, including, but not limited to, climatic conditions, travel cancellations, river crossings, wildlife, park or public land closures, and forest fires. The price and duration of a hiking trip will never change once you’re registered. Payments are not refundable for itinerary changes or public land closures. If a trip is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control a trip credit equal to the full amount paid will be issued.

    Cancellation and Refund Policy

    Hong Kong Hikers Ltd reserves the right to cancel trips. If this is the case a full refund of the amount paid will be given, including the deposit except with Corporate Hikes when some advance payments are non refundable. Hong Kong Hikers Ltd is not responsible for additional expenses incurred by preparing for the trip (for example: non-refundable advance purchases such as, clothing, equipment, food, transportation, etc)

    If you cancel a bespoke hike or corporate event for any reason
    • Between 29 and 15 days prior to the trip start date, we will retain 50 percent of the trip cost.
    • Less than 15 days prior to the trip start date, there will be no refund.

    Day Hike Cancellation Policy: 50% refund with 48 hours notice; no refund within 24 hours

  • RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS, ASSUMPTION OF RISKS AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT

    Please read and be certain that you understand the implications of signing this waiver.

    I am aware that my participation in an activity with Hong Kong Hikers Limited involves exposure to risks, dangers and hazards which may be greater or different than those I normally encounter and may include but are not limited to:

    1. Climatic Conditions in Hong Kong may create additional dangers
    2. Accidents or illness occurring in remote places where there are no immediately available medical facilities
    3. Exposure and emergencies related to heat or cold weather
    4. Varying wilderness and environmental conditions
    5. Attack by or encounter with insects, reptiles and/or animals
    6. Possible equipment failure and/or malfunction of my own or others’ equipment
    7. My own negligence and/or the negligence of others, including but not limited to, guide decision making which may include misjudging terrain, weather, trails or route location

    I understand the description of these risks is not complete and agree that there may be risks and dangers not known or reasonably foreseeable at this time.

    In consideration of Hong Kong Hikers Limited accepting my application and permitting my participation on the activity, I hereby agree as follows:

    • To comply with the directions and instructions of Hong Kong Hikers Limited before and throughout the activity.
    • To allow Hong Kong Hikers Limited to use any and all images and/or testimonials taken of or provided by me during the activity for any and all marketing purposes
    • To waive any and all claims, actions, costs, expenses and demands that I may have against Hong Kong Hikers Limited
    • To release Hong Kong Hikers Limited from any and all liability, for any loss, damage, injury or expense that I or my next of kin may suffer or incur as a result of my participation on the activity, due to any cause whatsoever including negligence on the part of Hong Kong Hikers Limited
    • That I am physically fit and my endurance is adequate. I do not and have not suffered from any medical conditions, mental or physical which may lead to a dangerous situation to other persons or myself while participating in the activity
    • That the laws of Hong Kong govern this contract and that any legal concerns will be handled in the competent and fair courts of Hong Kong

    I HAVE CAREFULLY READ AND I UNDERSTAND, ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE TO THIS RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT. I UNDERSTAND THAT I AM GIVING UP VALUABLE LEGAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT, AND THAT THIS AGREEMENT REPRESENTS A CONTRACT BETWEEN HONG KONG HIKERS LIMITED AND MYSELF. I HAVE VOLUNTARILY CHOSEN THE ACTIVITIES OF WHICH I AM PARTICIPATING.
